Anti Corrosion epoxy MIO intermediate paint for steel (Micaceous Iron Oxide)

*Product Features:

1. The paint film is tough, impact resistant, and has good mechanical properties;
2. It has good adhesion, flexibility, abrasion resistance, sealing and abrasion resistance.

*Product Application:

1. It can be used as an intermediate layer of high-performance anti-rust primer, such as epoxy iron red primer, epoxy zinc-rich primer, inorganic zinc primer, etc. The intermediate coating of anti-rust paint has good resistance to penetration , Forming a heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating, used for anti-corrosion of equipment and steel structure under heavy corrosion environment.

2. Suitable for carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and concrete substrates with proper treatment.

3. Can be applied when the surface temperature is below 0℃.

4. Suitable for steel structures and pipelines in highly corrosive environments, recommended for offshore environments, such as refineries, power plants, bridges, construction and mining equipment.

*Matching Paint:

Primer: epoxy iron red primer, epoxy zinc-rich primer, inorganic zinc silicate primer.
Topcoat: various chlorinated rubber topcoats, various epoxy topcoats, epoxy asphalt topcoats, alkyd topcoats, etc.

*Construction Method:

Spray: Non-air spray or air spray. High pressure non-gas spray.
Brush/roller: recommended for small areas, but must be specified.

*Surface Treatment:

All surfaces to be coated should be clean, dry and free of contamination. All surfaces shall be in accordance with ISO 8504:2000 before painting.
Evaluation and processing.

• Oxidized steel is sandblasted to Sa2.5 grade, surface roughness is 30-75μm, or it is pickled, neutralized and passivated;
• Non-oxidized steel is sandblasted to Sa2.5, or sanded to St3 with pneumatic or electro-elastic grinding wheels;
• Painted with shop primer steel The white rust on the paint film damage, rust and zinc powder primer is subjected to secondary descaling, except for white rust and polished to St3.

*Transport and Storage:

1, this product should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, ventilated place, away from fire, waterproof, leak-proof, high temperature, sun exposure.
2, Under the above conditions, the storage period is 12 months from the date of production, and can continue to be used after passing the test, without affecting its effect.
